Come play with your baby! Did you know that storytime is beneficial for babies? Babies learn all of the sounds needed to speak by their first birthday. The more words the child is exposed to and stories read aloud, the better they develop their language skills. The movement and fingerplay activities assist them with their physical skills. Babies will increase their knowledge. Plus, it is more time for parent/grandparent to snuggle and cuddle their child.


Bring your baby to the library for a special storytime just for them. Enjoy stories, Mother Goose nursery rhymes, songs and fingerplays. Babies will have time to play with our baby toys. Parents and/or grandparents will have time to socialize and network. So come and partake in all of the fun with your little one!

Pasco County Library System offers Baby Storytimes @

The Pasco County Library has a unique collection of toys for children with special needs. The adaptive toys allow children to independently experience the pleasure of learning through play. Children’s play is the building block for literacy. These toys can be used to enhance many areas of development in young children including:

• Language Development


• Fine & Gross Motor Skills


• Sensory Exploration


• Visual Perception

The Rotary Club of Keystone Sunrise has partnered with the library system to establish this special collection of toys. The toy lending collections are housed at the Hudson Regional Library and the Land O’ Lakes Library. It is available to all patrons in the county. You can request that the toy be delivered to your library branch. The collection can be viewed through the library’s homepage under “Catalog/Research.”
