Make a Splash @ your Library

The Summer Reading Club has begun. There's still time for everyone to join the club. Tomorrow is the first day you can report on your books.

Did you know that you can add book reviews in the library book catalog too? It's easy!!! Just locate the book in the catalog, then click on borrower reviews. You will be able to see other peoples reviews for that book and add your own. Let others know, your thoughts on the books.

Celebrate President's Day


Checkout the award winning book, Our White House: Looking In, Looking Out by 108 renowned authors and illustrators and the National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance.  Learn about the people who built, have lived in it, and have been touched by it.  Discover the importance of the house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and the role we, as citizens, have played in keeping it at the center of our democracy.  This book was made available through the We the People: Picturing America 2009 Grant.

Florida State Parks Celebrate Literacy in September

September 2009 will feature the third annual Literacy Month at each of Florida’s 160 state parks. Free admission to State Parks with one of the following items;
  • Library Card
  • Library Book

  • Donation of new or gently used family appropriate book
September 11 through September 13
Promoting literacy at Florida’s state parks creates an appreciation for both reading and the environment that visitors can take back to the classroom and community. September’s Literacy Month is the perfect time for all park visitors, including families and schools, to experience resource-based recreation while enhancing the mind through literacy events.
